Underrated: Domantas Sabonis

Domantas Sabonis has been one of the best young bigs in the league this season but he’s being largely overlooked. The Pacers are sitting at 18-9 despite missing Oladipo all season and missing Myles Turner for 8 games.

Sabonis has shown that he’s the more valuable asset between him and Turner minus the defensive aspect and has the Pacers considering moving Turner since their fit still isn’t that great. Signing Sabonis to that offseason extension is looking like a good move after many questioned it.

Among all bigs, Sabonis is probably the most underrated rebounder who plays heavy minutes. He ranks in the top 5-10 in pretty much every rebounding stat, even putting up similar or better rebounding numbers than guys like KAT and Embiid. Through 25 games, he’s recorded 22 double-doubles, 2nd in the league behind only Giannis.

Who else has been an underrated performer so far?
